Flies Canada values and respects the significance of online privacy. We are committed at the highest standard to protect your privacy through the abidance and expression of this policy.

This policy outlines how we receive, manage, and use information on/from our website and explains what information you may provide us by using our website. We highly encourage all users to become familiar with this entire document. 

This policy is integral to our Terms and Conditions.

We make it our intent to provide this policy in a clear and legible format so all of our users can fully understand how their information is handled. User Generated Content:

Listings and Reviews:

All information submitted by a user on our website using the add a listing feature, or the review feature, will be stored on our website and become publicly visible upon approval. All submissions are initially moderated by our team to ensure compliance with our terms.

Removal Requests:

If any user generated content or shared content is posted that reveals personal information about you, without consent, please contact us immediately to have it removed.

Built-in Messaging:

We offer a built-in messaging system on our website for user convenience. This messaging system is available for any member to use. Conversations will be stored on our servers for your record, however, Flies Canada does not have access to view any actual conversation stored. All communications between users are at the sole discretion of the users involved.

Payment and Credit Card Information:

For your security, Flies Canada does not collect or store any form of payment information. As a company, we do not process any form of monetary transaction on our website. Any communication between users regarding payments on our built-in messaging system is at the sole discretion of our users. The above policy on Built-in Messaging applies.

Newsletter:

By subscribing to our newsletter you are voluntarily adding your email address to our mailing list, and are agreeing to us occasionally sending you mail. We do our best to only include valuable information in our newsletter emails, and try to keep them to a minimum. Content included in our newsletter may include, but is not limited to, promotions, deals, updates, and new features. We offer the ability to subscribe or unsubscribe at any time at your own discretion. Please find the link to unsubscribe at the bottom of any of our newsletter emails, or contact us directly with your address to have it removed. We will never share your email address.

We may collect three types of information from users on our website as follows:

Information from third-party services refers to tracking/advertising/verification data available to us of our users provided by a third-party service. Our website uses Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google reCAPTCHA for tracking, advertising, and verification purposes. We may receive non-personal data from these services that can include, but is not limited to, information such as geographical location, age, browsing habits, pages viewed, length of time visited, and similar browsing behaviour. We do not directly control the type information collected by these services and, in hand, highly encourage you to become familiar with Google’s Policies (https://policies.google.com/).

How we Collect Information:

This includes, but is not limited to, information sent to us through a website form or an email, or a listing submission.

  • Automatic tracking and collection

As you use our website we may use automatic data collection/tracking technology (Google Analytics) to collect certain non-personal information about you. This information includes, but is not limited to, details of your visits, page views, length of visit, usage patterns, and/or computer IP address. This technology automatically operates in the background upon, and during, access of our website. 

Usage of Information:

General Intent:

Our company collects and uses data collected for creating the best possible experience for our users. We use information for business purposes only with the user’s safety always in mind. We do not use data in any sort of malicious form.

We use collected and provided information of you, personal and non-personal, strictly in the following ways:

  • Information directly provided to us from you

Used to provide you with products/services/answers that you request from us.

  • Automatically collected data

Used to improve your experience with our website and its functionality. This data is used for analytical purposes so we have a better understanding of our users and their habits while interacting with our site. With this information we can provide our users with an experience tailored to their preferences and continually better our company.

Although we cannot control how third-parties handle information, it is our intent to state clearly how we use these services. We encourage any questions that pertain to data handling between us and any third-party service.

We are committed to protecting the information we receive from you. We take appropriate security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and/or destruction. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain accuracy, and ensure correct use of information, we maintain appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information and data stored on our system. We encrypt transmission over our website with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) meaning that any data transferred to or from our website is safe when browsing on our domain “https://www.fliescanada.ca/”. While no computer system is completely secure, the measures we have implemented reduce the likelihood of security problems to a level appropriate to the type of data handled.

For any personal data contained in your own account on our website, you are responsible for setting a password of sufficient strength to protect your information (an alpha-numeric password containing special characters is strongly recommended).

With this being said, we cannot guarantee the absolute protection of your data. The transmission of personal data to us is provided entirely at your own discretion.
